This unit of the hospital is fully equipped with full facilities for Cardiac Surgeries like, On Pump and Off Pump CABG (including surgeries for complicated CAD like Post MI/ VSR & Post MI Severe MR), Mitral/ aortic/Tricuspid Valve replacement/ Repair surgeries. Minimally invasive Cardiac Surgery for Valve replacement and ASD closure are also done here, one of the few centers in whole Punjab. Aortic Surgery, Surgeries for Congenital Heart Disease, Paediatric heart surgeries, Thoracic Surgeries & various vascular surgical procedures are also done. Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeries are done in dedicated OT installed, erected and designed by Maquet and is fully equipped to do all types of cardiac surgical procedures. The OT also has the facilities of advanced IABP, ACT (Medtronic's) machine. Most of the instrument related to Heart Surgery are from Delacroix-Chevalier(Paris). There are five beds for CTVS recovery. This is the best Set up in malwa region for heart surgeries inrespect to infection control, high end equipment, like Hearting Machine- Maquet, ACT machine medtronics, TCM, Philips Highend Moniter system, world's best Anaesthesia machines (I-Flow).
